With so many plot threads either being tied up or left to the players own interpretation, this article tries to provide an analysis of the Alan Wake ending.īefore Alan reaches the finale of the game, he has to prevail against many foes and different enemies, often in precarious & dangerous situations. There are many open plot elements and different ways to take the presented cutscenes, narrative and information at the end of Alan Wake. The ending of Alan Wake is left intentionally ambiguous and open to interpretation for the players of the game. In the game, players take on the role of writer Alan Wake, who finds horror & mystery while on a quiet holiday with his wife in the sleepy town of Bright Falls. RIP me.Alan Wake was the long-anticipated, Remedy Entertainment created release, spanning a near ten year development cycle.

I hope Bannerlord (if it ever gets out) has some kind of reward at the end of the conquest cause it feels really underwhelming. I even tried to take a screenshot but when the last faction, the Sarranid Sultanate, was defeated it only said "The New Calradic Empire (my faction) stands as the only faction in Calradia" something like that and I instintively clicked continue waiting for my reward or cutscene or piece of armor or whatever, man it felt like a waste, and even more cause now I can't have a little screenshot to remind me time of the fricking grind I did in this game. Tbh it wasnt satisfactory at all, there was no reward or cutscene, little story at the end or anything. In vanilla Mount & Blade I only managed to conquer Suno before I started getting debuffs and I just managed to conquer it in Warband thanks to the Diplomacy mod cause it keeps the battle going even if I'm down. It took me 5 years, a ton of characters, downloads, uninstalls and reinstalls to finally finish this game as I proposed one day to myself years ago.
